​Ghoubbet and Tadjoura - 7 Days Liveaboard

The Weekly Group Cruise is a seven-day adventure designed for divers and snorkelers. It starts on Saturday evening (check-in after 5:00 pm) and ends the following Saturday morning (9:00 am). The experience is designed for groups with a maximum of 18 participants

SATURDAY

DJIBOUTI

Arrival in Djibouti, required by Monday evening. Check-in from 5:00 PM.
Dinner and overnight on board.

 

SUNDAY

RAS EIRO

After breakfast – Departure from Djibouti to Ras Eiro (approx. 3h navigation).
Check dive and second dive near Ras Eiro.

 

MONDAY – TUESDAY – WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY

GHOUBBET & TADJOURAH GULF

Early morning departure to the southern Tadjourah Gulf and Ghoubbet (approx. 1.5h navigation).
For divers: 2–3 dives per day at spectacular sites such as Ile aux Requins, Le Dôme, Ras Corali, La Passe, La Faille, Le Tombant de l’Étoile, Vierge Rouge, and Turtle Bay.
Night navigation on Thursday to Maskali and Moucha Islands.

 

FRIDAY

MASKALI & MOUCHA ISLANDS

For divers: 2 dives, including one on the Faon wreck.
Last dive by 1:00 PM.
Afternoon transfer back to Djibouti (approx. 1h navigation).

 

SATURDAY

DJIBOUTI – LAKE ABBÉ

Breakfast, disembarkation, check-out by 9:00 AM.
Return flight must be scheduled after 2:00 PM.
Optional: Sheraton day package with pool, beach, and lunch (sandwich + drink) for €50.
Timely airport transfer for departure.



Group cruise with dive guide (min. 6 – max. 18 participants)

Single room supplement: € 860.00

Optional scuba gear rental: € 230 / $ 250 per person – Pre-booking required, payment on site. Individual gear rental also available.

Children rates (in cabin with 2 parents):

Children must always be supervised by at least one parent.

  • Accommodation on board M/Y Felicidad II in double cabin with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner, soft drinks included).
  • For divers: tanks, weights, belts; 12-16 dives including night dives and whale shark snorkeling (counted as dives).
  • Dive guide during cruise (excluding free time).
  • Star-Link Wi-Fi during the cruise (available in the dinette and upper deck, not guaranteed in cabins).

  • Fuel Surcharge / Fuel and lubricants price adjustment: The rates published for the 2026–2027 season are based on fuel and lubricants costs applicable at the time of publication (February 2026). Should fuel and lubricants costs increase by more than three percent (3%) above the reference cost used to calculate these rates, Nine Cruise reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge and/or revise prices accordingly. Any adjustment shall be proportionate to the actual increase in operating costs incurred and will be communicated accordingly.

THURSDAY – FRIDAY - SATURDAY

7 BROTHERS ISLANDS

We’ll reach these stunning islands after an overnight sail.
For divers: 2–3 dives per day in the most spectacular sites of the entire cruise.
Possible dive spots include: The South Island, Boeing, The White Lady, The Arch, Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden.
On Saturday night, we set sail for Moucha and Maskali Islands.

 

SUNDAY

MASKALI & MOUCHA ISLANDS

We’ll reach Moucha & Maskali islands after an overnight sail.
For divers: 2 dives, including one on the Faon wreck.
Last dive by 1:00 PM.
Afternoon transfer back to Djibouti (approx. 1h navigation).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This itinerary, which includes the Seven Brothers Islands, is highly weather-dependent. Route adjustments may occur, and in case of adverse conditions, the Seven Brothers may not be reachable. In such cases, the cruise will focus on extended exploration of Ghoubbet, Tadjoura, Moucha, and Maskali.

​Land Extension - 4 days Danakil region 

The trip is far from over, you've seen the seas come enjoy the Danakil region. One of the most extreme places on earth, where three cracks meet giving birth to one of the most unearthly landscapes on earth

A 4x4 expedition through one of the world's most surreal landscapes: salt lakes, active volcanoes, lunar deserts, and the culture of the nomadic Afar people.


Day 1 — Djibouti → Lake Abbe

After check-out, drive across the vast desert plains of Petit Barra and Grand Barra, with mirages and gazelles on the horizon. Lunch in Dikhil. Continue to Lake Abbe, famous for its towering limestone chimneys that release steam from volcanic hot springs. Spectacular sunset over the chimneys; flamingos in season. Dinner and overnight in traditional Afar huts at Campement d'Asboley (shared facilities). Full board.

Day 2 — Lake Abbe → Lake Assal → Ghoubbet → Bankoualé 

Morning visit to Lake Abbe, then on to Lake Assal — the lowest point in Africa (155 m below sea level), a salt lake ten times saltier than the ocean, with shifting blue-to-emerald colors and dazzling salt formations. Chance to meet the Afar people. Continue to Ghoubbet (the "Gulf of Demons") with its lunar scenery and "Devil's Islands," then explore the Ardoukoba volcano area (formed in 1978) with its lava flows and underground tunnels. Drive through the green Goda Mountains to the village of Ardo and the lush oasis of Bankoualé with its waterfalls. Dinner and overnight in Afar huts at Campement Bankoualé (shared facilities). Full board.

Day 3 — Bankoualé → Obock → Tadjoura 

Drive to Obock, a former French colonial outpost near the Eritrean border, known for the Ras Bir lighthouse. Visit the nearby Godoria mangroves, a haven for birds and marine life. Continue to Tadjoura, the old capital — a picturesque whitewashed town with palm trees, seven mosques, and beautiful white-sand beaches on the Red Sea. Overnight at Hotel Le Sable Blanc or similar. Full board.

Day 4 — Tadjoura → Djibouti 

Free morning to relax on the "white sands" beach. After lunch, return to Djibouti and transfer to the airport. Half board.

  • French- or English-speaking driver/guide (Italian-speaking available for a supplement);
